Madison County is accepting applications until filled for one custodial employee to work evenings and occasional weekends at the Courthouse and other county offices in Virginia City, Montana. Typical work days are Monday through Friday; 4-6 hours per day (may vary). Additional hours may be worked as requested by the Facilities Supervisor. The hourly wage will begin at $13.57 with an increase after a six month probationary period. MADISON COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE DEPUTY SHERIFF: The Madison County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for a full-time deputy sheriff position. The salary for this position is $20.99 per hour with county medical benefits.

Duties and responsibilities include performing the duties of a deputy sheriff as prescribed by Montana State Statute. This includes responding to calls from citizens for service in a variety of law enforcement assignments, being able to deal with stressful situations in all types of weather and work hours, perform quality and detailed work products, communicate effectively with others and be physically fit in order to deal with the hazards of the job which includes the apprehension of suspects in crimes.

This position requires the applicant to be able to obey rules, regulations and follow instruction from superiors. They must show a desire to work with the public to solve problems, show self-initiative, and demonstrate a high degree of integrity, maturity and confidentiality. A long term commitment to living and working in Madison County is desired.
