The Madison County Office of Public Assistance has been closed and Madison County residents will now be served by the Gallatin County office.
Customers who wish to apply for assistance or who are receiving assistance will be able to call the toll free number 1.866.550.2809 and we will explain your options for applying for assistance.

Available programs:
- SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, formerly called Food Stamps)
- Medicaid (for families, pregnant women, elderly and disabled)
- TANF cash assistance for families.
All programs have income and resource limits
Interviews for SNAP and Medicaid can be held by phone.
